Senedd Super Science group have been busy planning science week for after half term. Rydyn ni’n gyffroes!
Learning Space Senedd Update
We’ve been working hard on the design and budget for our new creative, independent learning zone. New green screens are in place and all creative resources have been re-organised. We’ve budgeted for new resources and are busy working on displays to promote independent learning. Cross-curricular learning opportunities are being planned and we can’t wait to use our awesome new area!
Safety Senedd Update
We hope that our campaign to improve the parking situation outside school has worked. We have kept in contact with the police and will look into road safety again in the summer term.
At the moment we are working with the Curriculum Senedd on developing our outdoor areas. We have decided it would be safer to fence off our woodland area and we are discussing safety rules for when you are using the woodland. Classes are going to design panels to be put along the fence to brighten up the outside area. Mr Trowbridge will be putting the fence up over the Easter holidays. Thank you!
Digital Senedd Update
We’ve been working alongside Criw Cymraeg to develop the use of Welsh Apps in all classes.
Once again we led the organisation for Safer internet day on 11th February. All classes were provided with ideas to learn about how to remain safe online. We also led a whole school assembly to remind everyone of the importance of the SMART rules.

Reviewed by Harley, Finley and Alex. We have played ‘Hit the Button’. We think it is a great website as it is fun and it helps you learn maths. You can choose different areas to practise as well as well as the level of difficulty. It helps you remember number facts quickly and so will help you when you are older. Why not give it a go?

On Thursday of last week the Year 6 netball team, who had already won the cluster schools netball tournament, came 3rd in the whole of the Swansea area. What an achievement!
This week, the athletics team performed well in the indoor competition on Wednesday and also on Wednesday, the choir put on a superb performance and had the whole crowd clapping along when they performed. To top it off, the Year 4/5 football team came 2nd in the Gorseinon College football tournament, narrowly losing out 1-0 in the final match. Well done in particular to Adam who scored 6 goals!!
