Most challenging lesson: chosen by Lewis and Tia

Tia – I did a diary about evacuees. It was challenging because I needed to edit and improve my spelling.

Lewis- I did an acrostic poem about the Blitz. It was a challenge because we had to write each sentence using alliteration.

Favourite lesson this week: Chosen by Halle and Freya.

Most Challenging Lesson:

Emily and Finley – Writing up my Roman myth in my neatest handwriting. We had to edit it as We were writing.

Favourite Lesson:

Tia, Lewis and Hollie – Our favourite lesson was maths this week. We were developing our money skills. We had different challenges to make an amount such as £2, £5 or £10 with no more than 10 coins. We loved learning with the money!!

Joke of the week:

Patient: “Doctor, doctor, I think I’ve swallowed a ladder”

Doctor: “Well, Let’s take it one step at a time”.

Playground Game of The Week: Biscuits and Buns

You need at least 10 players split into 2 teams – one called biscuits and one called buns. Each team lines up on the opposite side of the playground. The teacher / adult shouts either “biscuits” or “buns”. If they shout “biscuits” the biscuits chase the buns and visa versa.

Stuck in the mud

You will need 5 or more players.

First, choose one person to be a chaser.

Next, the chaser has to try and catch all the others.

When someone gets caught, they hold out they’re arms because they are ‘stuck in the mud’. To be freed another player has to go under their arms.
