We hope all our families are safe, well and happy! If you need any help or support please let us know. A huge thank you to everyone for pulling together in such trying times. Children – you are all superstars! We miss them terribly at school and cannot wait to see them all again. We have no new information regarding a return to school but, whatever version of school they return to, we can assure you that their safety and the safety of others will take priority.
We have managed to make contact with most of our wonderful families to check-in on wellbeing and offer support. If you are a family that we haven’t been able to make contact with, please give us a ring at school to catch up! 
Coronavirus and me: nationwide survey of children and young people
The Children’s Commissioner has now launched a survey for children and young people. This survey helps children and young people to tell Welsh Government how they’ve felt about lockdown: how it’s impacted on their health; any worries they’ve had; how they think it might affect their education; and also any positives they’ve had from it. It’s a joint survey from the Welsh Government, the Children’s Commissioner for Wales, Youth Parliament for Wales / Senedd IeuenctidCymru and Children in Wales. The survey has been developed and tested with children and young people.
It will help Government to respond in the best way to the situation as it develops, and to inform how they work with and talk to children and young people during this crisis and beyond. We need your help to ensure that as many children as possible have a chance to have their say. Please note that the survey makes clear where children can seek help if they are affected by any of the topics in the survey.I expect it to take children 15 minutes to complete and they can do it on any device by following the link. It has been a pleasure to view the awesome work that children have been producing at home. I know that it will be a juggling act for many trying to balance home learning with other commitments. You’re doing a great job! Please keep sending any pictures you want to share with us. Teachers are working extremely hard to provide varied opportunities for the children during a time that none of us have experienced before. Half term week 25th – 29th May – Emergency childcare will continue to operate to support the children of key workers. Teachers have worked hard to provide activity suggestions for this week, if required, but will be unavailable to respond to work or emails until Monday June 2nd. Children and their families have also been hard at work so I would suggest using the week, if you can, as a time to rest, play and hopefully enjoy some sunshine. The school phone line will still be open during this week if you have a concern.
You should have received an email outline the changes to the FSM system. If you have not received an email or had a problem registering, please contact the school as soon as you can! Please note that deliveries will be taking place on Tuesday next week.
